This is Yara, a sweet baby that loves Halloween, especially bats. She just found out about albino bats, and of course those are her favorite kind of bats at the moment. She can't wait for Halloween and already has her costume ready. She even asked me to make her a trick or treating friend. Of course, it needed to be a white bat. Yara is 10 inches of curiosity and sweetness, and jut like real bats, she prefers to sleep during the day and trick or treat at night.

Yara's skin is Heavy Weight Laib Yala in a dark brown color. Her body is made with organic cotton interlock. Her body is filled with clean carded wool to make it floppy. Her head is made in the traditional Waldorf style with some needle felting to make it firmer. The head is wobbly but not completely floppy. Her arms are sewn to her torso with a sewing machine so they are pretty sturdy but also very floppy. Her legs have been hand sewn to her torso three times to make them sturdy yet floppy. Her sleeping eyes have been hand embroidered with cotton DMC thread. Her hair is made with reddish brown big loop. mohair yarn. It is a crocheted wig cap that is then hand sewn to her head. This style of hair cannot be brushed. She wears wool felt bat wings, a hand crocheted bat hat, and booties. All accessories are detachable. She will travel with her bat lovie.

Yara is not a toy suitable for children under 3 years of age. Even though she’s made pretty sturdy the age recommendation for this doll and her accessories is 5 years and over. If you get her for a smaller child I would recommend you remove, the hat, wings, and booties.
